Space Command AU visits ANU InSpace

ANU Institute for Space was delighted to host Space Command AU last week (Defence Space Commander Major General Greg Novak, Major Hannah Banks and Lieutenant Chris Maclean) and to show them ANU space capability sites including Heavy Ion Accelerators, National Space Test Facility (NSTF) and the Quantum Optical Ground Station.

Theory to Practice Workshop held in collaboration with ANU CECC and DSTG

Yesterday we held the first ๐“๐ก๐ž๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ, focussing on trustworthy autonomy and AI. This was the first workshop in a series of workshops co-developed by ANU College of Engineering, Computing & Cybernetics School of Engineering, ANU Institute for Space, and Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG).

Last month, ANU InSpace Director Professor Anna Moore had the honour of visiting two of the world's leading groups on space radiation design and testing: the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and the Centre National d'ร‰tudes Spatiales.

Space Sciences Laboratory is a space-focussed organisational unit at the University of California, Berkeley with a very long and successful history in designing, building, and operating astronomy and space satellites. Last month, ANU InSpace Director Professor Anna Moore had the opportunity to visit the Space Sciences Laboratory and chat about how ANU and UCB can work together in space.
