Three Aussie-made and NSQN-tested CubeSats are launching as part of SpaceX’s Transporter-11 mission
This is a historic moment for Australia in space. Three Aussie-made and NSQN-tested CubeSats are launching as part of SpaceX’s Transporter-11 mission. ANU InSpace Mission Specialist Eduardo Trifoni and his team at the National Space Test Facility (NSTF) have worked tirelessly for the past few years to ensure the safety and success of these launches, as well as three others (Binar-2, 3, and 4) which have recently arrived at the International Space Station and will soon be deployed in orbit. NSTF is one of the ANU space capabilities at Mount Stromlo and a node of the National Space Qualification Network (NSQN).

iLAuNCH eye in the sky space camera project goes live!
Another ANU iLAuNCH Trailblazer project has been signed! Bringing together a partnership from across the globe, the latest iLAuNCH Trailblazer project will see the Australian defence and space industry gain onshore manufacturing of new eye in the sky technology, a space camera that will provide images back to Earth at high speed to aid in disaster resilience operations, land management, and defence.

Last week, ANU InSpace Business Development Manager, Natasha Disha, attended the 6th Summit for Space Sustainability, held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo, Japan. This high-level, multi-day forum was co-hosted by the Secure World Foundation (SWF) and the National Space Policy Secretariat of the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan to highlight opportunities and challenges for developing solutions for space sustainability.

Partnering with The Australian National University, Boswell Technologies, and AZISTA INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED, this initiative will enhance CubeSat maneuverability for applications in Earth observation, secure communications, and more.

Centre for Appropriate Technology Satellite Enterprises visits ANU InSpace
This week we hosted the CfAT Satellite Enterprises Pty Ltd (CfATSE) at the ANU Quantum Optical Ground Station. This was a great opportunity to meet the team from CfATSE, to hear about their ground station site in Alice Springs, and to talk about the potential for working together in the future.
