Happy New Year 2025 from the ANU InSpace Team

2025 is here and ANU Institute for Space | InSpace is ready to hit the ground running. 2024 was an inspiring year for InSpace with conferences, events, VIP meet and greets, launches and talks, iLAuNCH Trailblazer projects commencing, the Australian Centre for Space Governance prospering, OZFuel development gaining momentum and support, National Space Qualification Network (NSQN) building on its success and Moon to Mars initiatives going into hyperdrive. We also continued our commitment to driving the positive narrative about the endless and wonderful possibilities that space research can provide Australia and the world and how we at ANU are involved with building the sustainable developments, collaborations and innovation to not only boost the space sector but also solve society’s biggest problems.

ANU InSpace partners with ELO2 on Australia's first lunar rover

We're over the moon to be part of the ELO2 consortium that has been selected by the Australian Space Agency to build Australia's first lunar rover, "Roo-ver"! This landmark program will make history for the Australian space sector, driving innovation and growing the industry. Associate Director, Strategic Projects Kate Ferguson said "We're delighted to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime mission and proud to collaborate with the whole ELO2 consortium as we work towards this historic mission."

First co-badged and designed course at ANU SMP along with CASA was a success!

Congratulations to our Mission Specialist Professor Tracy Smart AO and Prof. Gordon Cable AM and Kate Manderson and their team for successfully running the first co-badged and designed course, "Principles of Aeromedical Certification for Medical Specialists" at The Australian National University's School of Medicine and Psychology along with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Here's to many more courses next year.
