We are so proud of our Director Anna Moore FTSE who has been awarded the Royal Astronomical Society's Jackson-Gwilt Medal, recognising outstanding invention, improvement, or development of astronomical or geophysical instrumentation or techniques.
This prestigious award is testimony to her life's work and the nomination comprised of achievements in astronomical instrumentation, as Director of the AITC and Founder and Director of ANU Institute for Space | InSpace, as well as creating impact more broadly for women in science.
Anna said it was "an honour to join this long list of awardees dating back to 1897."
We are so happy to celebrate with her and look forward to seeing her receive the medal at this year's National Astronomy Meeting in Durham, UK in July.
